LDPE Film Scrap

We buy baled LDPE film across the UK in grades 98/2, 95/5, 90/10, 80/20 and jazz — from single bales of production film to contracted monthly volumes.

98/2 → jazzHS 3915.10B3011

LDPE film is the highest-volume grade we ship to Türkiye, where licensed reprocessors pelletise it for film and bag production. We buy from waste companies, MRFs, distribution centres and converters. Grading follows the standard colour-ratio convention — 98/2 means at least 98% clear/natural film — and our graders quote from photographs, usually same day. Every load moves as green-list B3011 material with a full Annex VII trail to a consignee whose Turkish licence and import quota we have verified before contract. Domestic ultra-clean film may achieve more in the UK; where that is true, we say so rather than buy it for export.

Compliance & documentation

Waste / product classification
Green-list waste under entry B3011: single-polymer, sorted plastic destined for recycling. Ships under Article 18 (Annex VII) procedure — no notification required when the specification is met, which is why grading discipline matters.
Certification chain
We are an Environment Agency registered waste carrier/broker/dealer (upper tier). Consignees hold Çevre İzin ve Lisans Belgesi with import quota verified before contract.
Documentation supplied
  • Annex VII form signed by all parties, retained 3 years
  • Contract with the licensed Turkish consignee (recovery obligation)
  • Waste transfer note at UK collection
  • Photographic loading report per container
Türkiye import notes
Türkiye accepts sorted single-polymer film; mixed plastics are banned. Quota headroom at the consignee is confirmed per contract — your material never waits at port for paperwork.

Applications & end markets

Where your film ends up — the end market determines the price we can pay:

  • rLDPE pellet for film and bag production in Türkiye
  • Construction membrane and damp-proof film
  • Refuse sack manufacture (closing the loop with our Flow A range)
  • Irrigation and agricultural film

Quality & inspection

  • 01

Photo grading: send bale photos front and cut-open; we quote against the grade the photos support.

  • 02

Grade confirmation at first collection: our agent or haulier documents the load bale by bale.

  • 03

Any downgrade is evidenced with photographs before price adjustment — no silent claims.

  • 04

Loading photographed at export packing; report shared with the supplier and consignee.

  • 05

Arrival reconciliation: consignee weighbridge and inspection result closes the file.

Frequently asked questions

What do 98/2, 95/5 and 90/10 actually mean?
The figures are a colour ratio by weight: 98/2 is at least 98% clear/natural film with at most 2% coloured or printed; 95/5 and 90/10 loosen the same tolerance. Jazz is mixed colour with no ratio promise. The ratio drives yield of natural pellet — the premium product — which is why each step in the ratio moves the price. Our acceptance specs below define each grade with its contamination tolerances.
How do you price, and how quickly do we get an offer?
Send five to ten photos — bale faces plus one opened bale — with monthly tonnage and postcode. A grader responds with a per-tonne offer, usually same working day, referenced to the current export market for the grade. Prices hold for the stated validity window; for monthly contracts we agree a formula against a published index so both sides see the same number.
Do you collect, or do we deliver?
Either. We routinely buy EXW/FCA your site and arrange haulage — walking-floor or curtainsider for loose bales to port, or container loading at your dock where you have the kit. Loading assistance and timed slots are agreed at contract. For regular volumes we schedule standing collections.
What happens if a load doesn't match the agreed grade?
The load is inspected against the acceptance spec, and any variance is documented with photographs before we discuss price. Options are re-grade at an evidenced adjusted price, rejection of specific bales, or return — your choice where practical. What we never do is ship out-of-spec material and hope: a failed load at a Turkish port harms everyone, including your company's name on the Annex VII.
Is our company exposed if material is exported?
Your protection is the paper trail. Every export carries an Annex VII naming exporter, carrier and consignee; the consignee's licence and quota are verified before contract; loading is photographed; and records are retained for three years. This is the exact framework regulators check. We are happy to walk your compliance team through it — see our Annex VII guide.
